Far be it from me to defend Michael Moore. (How many posts about annoying liberals do I start with a similar construction?) I think he's a bully and a jerk. But Breitbart's assertion that he mocked Sanjay Gupta's name during a CNN interview is just as exaggerated as Byron York's claim that liberal activists flattened Hillary Clinton with boos during a recent forum.
The way I listen to the Moore interview is not him doing a poor Indian accent -- something better left to Joe Biden or Michael from "The Office" during Diversity Training Day. Rather, he was pretty pissed about Gupta's report and Wolf's insistence that Gupta is unimpeachable. Whether he is or isn't, I could give a crap. Moore's tone, rather than mocking his ethnicity, took on more of a "Whoopdie-fucking-do." Well if SANJAY GUUUPTA thinks it, then it MUST be true! I say the same thing with the insufferable RUDY GIU-LI-ANI and his ilk. Listen for yourself; I think my interpretation will bear out.
Breitbart, I will say, is a pretty decent news source. They may skew right (who else would post an endorsement from Rush Limbaugh?), but they pick up a lot of AP stories and have an abundance of video clips you can't find on other sites. In all, it's a good product (heaven forfend Ignatius or Vitus from making a similar concession to the Post or Times). On this count, though, I think they're grasping at straws.
As for Moore's interview: He is in full jerk-mode, but it's nice to see Wolf Blitzer getting absolutely assaulted for being a wimp over the past seven years. I haven't seen "Sicko" yet, nor read the presumably less sensational "Sick," by the august Jonathan Cohn of the august New Republic, so I won't begin a health care debate here. But the interview is still fairly entertaining.

But did he boo Hillary?

Don't kill the messenger. Moore's movie raises issues that need attention. From this health care professional's perch the movie is not polemic but points out pervasive problems. We need ideas for change. We have only seen one place that is dedicated to unbiased solutions at www.healthcaresoundoff.com.
